Mrs Galaxy Australia
Laura grew up in the UK and moved out to Australia in 2018 where she's settled in the Northern Beaches in Sydney. She's a mum of an almost 2 year old and even though it was a struggle to bring him up in the pandemic with no family support, Leo and her husband are her world.
Laura studied business and computer science at Cardiff University and went on to become a female leader in Technology, having been promoted to Partner this year at the biggest professional services firm in the world. She is a huge advocate for gender equality and focuses on being a role model and enabling more opportunities for women in a male dominated industry. Laura is a public speaker at work events, podcasts and has appeared on TV talk shows talking about her views on Gender Equality, focusing on what needs to change.
Alongside that, she is also an ambassador for a rape and domestic violence charity, she was previously a board member and she raises awareness and well needed funds for the cause.
Laura is no newbie to Galaxy, having won Ms Galaxy Ireland in 2017 and competing in the International in 2018 where she placed 2rd Runner Up. Laura has been in the Galaxy system for over 10 years, competing in the first ever Galaxy UK and is hoping to bring that International crown back to Australia. Laura keeps coming back to Galaxy because the system encompasses everything she stands for, driving women to be their best selves.
